We are seeking a Pricing Analyst to support the pricing, development, and monitoring activities for AA Motor and Home Insurance. The primary goal is to optimise the acquisition and retention of AA business. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust pricing systems, models, and price test strategies to deliver high-quality pricing analyses in line with market best practices.

What will I be doing?

  • Develop new models using both traditional and modern techniques, including retention, acquisition, and customer behaviour prediction models.
  • Collaborate with the Pricing Manager and fellow analysts to create analysis, insights, and management information (MI) to profitably grow insurer portfolios.
  • Monitor model performance using both statistical and non-statistical methods to objectively recommend the optimal time for refreshing or rebuilding models.
  • Support the development and implementation of pricing strategies that enhance value by optimising the acquisition and retention of AA Insurance business.
  • Conduct modelling and analysis to support marketing activities and acquisition strategies.

What do I need?

  • Understanding of financial and consumer modelling within General Insurance.
  • Proven programming and modelling skills, ideally in Radar, Emblem, SQL, Python, R, Shiny, Streamlit, PySpark, etc.
  • Analytical experience in a data-rich Financial Services environment, with proficiency in analytical tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly.
  • Knowledge of lifetime value, customer relationship management, and segmentation strategies.
  • Capability to develop and implement change.
