We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Manager to support our Group Chief Operating Officer (COO). You’ll be a key advisor and partner in managing, supporting, and coordinating our Chief Operating Office (COO) activities.
You’ll manage critical projects, optimise processes, and coordinate across various departments, including HR, Internal Communications, PR, Finance, Legal, and Risk, to achieve organisational goals. This role offers a strong development opportunity, providing insight and experience into the core activities of COO with exposure to strategic discussions and initiatives. It is designed to be a career accelerator for someone looking to take on broader responsibilities within the business in time.
What will I be doing?
- Assist in the development and implementation of COO Strategic Framework initiatives, including the execution of the COO annual planning process.
- Oversee high-impact cross-COO projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with objectives.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the COO, including agenda management, meeting preparation, MI, tracking, and follow-up on key action items.
- Act as a liaison between the COO and other executives, team members, and external stakeholders to ensure clear and consistent communication.
- Analyse operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and streamline processes to enhance efficiency and productivity across the COO organisation.
What do I need?
- Consultative Skills: Experienced within a similar operational role or consultative background responsible for a variety of key strategic changes and projects.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Analytical Thinking: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with comfort in data-driven decision-making.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Organisation: Superior organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
